Vaser is a form of ultrasound assistance although it is newer in technology or otherwise known as 3rd generation Ultrasound technology. The cannula is narrow and delivers less energy thus being safer.

We usually advice that the procedure will take anywhere between 90 minutes to 3hours. After the procedure you would need to stay with us for monitoring until we feel you are safe to go home, usually around 30 minutes. We advise that you do not operate heavy machinery or drive a car for at least 24-48 hours after the procedure.

Under local anaesthesia the most uncomfortable part is the infusion of the LA. Your doctor will inject entry area, and then inject the entry points with an anesthetic and then using a small tube further anaesthesia is infused into the fatty layers to be treated. It may sting for a short while but then when the anaesthesia takes effect most patients describe the following sensation as a ‘dullness’ or ‘heaviness’. In general you need to be healthy, undergo regular exercise, have healthy eating habits and you should not exceed more than 25% of your ideal weight. You should not be taking any anticoagulants (blood thinning agents), Vitamin E supplements or immunosuppressed. Normally we recommend you wear the supplied primary compression garment for 24 hours/day during the first 3 weeks, and then downgrade to shapewear/ underarmour/ spanx/ sports vest for at least 8hrs a day for a further 3 weeks.

Yes. Your body will make any new fat cells to replace the ones removed during the procedure. However, you still need to have a healthy diet and maintain regular exercise as excess calories may result in the swelling of other remaining fat cells.

You are most likely to be left with a very small scar about 4-5mm in length for each incision point. For most people, this scar completely fades or becomes fairly invisible with time, although this depends on each individual client’s reaction to scarring.
