Scalp Micropigmentation
SMP is an aesthetic tattoo technique that reproduces the appearance of hair follicles. SMP is commonly used to treat thinning hair, baldness, alopecia and scars. For males if you choose to crop your hair short scalp will appear “shaved”. For females it will give the appearance of fullness/ density of hair where the scalp was previously visible. It may also be used to camouflage scars and receding hairlines.

Scalp Micropigmentation Procedure
Before the treatment:
We will ask you to look at some short hair design photos. The hairline design will be agreed by you and the practitioner. You will sign a document to say that you have agreed on the hair design and that you are happy to proceed.
We will apply a layer of anaesthetic cream on the treatment zone before the treatment starts.
During Your Treatment:
The area to be treated will be cleaned and the treatment commenced
You will feel a mild scratching sensation as the treatment is commenced. The overall time taken per session will be 1-3 hours.
Scalp Micropigmentation Aftercare
Once your treatment is complete, you are free to resume your normal activities. You may find that your scalp is a little swollen and the skin a little pink post treatment but this settle down quite quickly.

There is placement of micropigmentation, that are minute particles synthetic iron oxide colour pigment, The pigment is placed approximately millimetre below the skin’s surface using a hand-piece and singe use sterile disposable needle.
The time is dependent on how much hair loss you have and how extensive it is. Small areas take 1 hour and larger areas more than this.
No, we use a topical anaesthetic before treatment to make it as comfortable as possible. It usually feels like someone is scratching your scalp.
Scalp Micro Pigmentation is semi-permanent and should last between 1 to 3 years.
A fully trained aesthetic tattooist and Level 4 therapist undertakes the treatment in the clinic area of the clinic in a clean and sterile environment.
